Tom Reid is Chief Problem Solver for Certified Contracting Solutions, LLC (CCS) headquartered in Denver, Colorado. CCS provides training, contract management services, and mentoring & marketing services to the government and its contractors. He has worked for 29 years in government contracts and business operations. Following seven years as a Government attorney specializing in procurement, he has served as a senior executive in both large and small companies demonstrating expertise in contract management, business development, training, leadership development, legal and litigation management, strategic planning, and management of multi-million dollar business operations.

He is a Fellow with the National Contract Management Association, has served as co-chair of the Council of Fellows, and has served as a chapter officer in three different NCMA chapters. He recently concluded a two-year term as a member of the National Board of Directors for NCMA and was named NCMA’s Outstanding Fellow for 2006. Mr. Reid is the lead author of Selecting Contract Types, published by NCMA, and numerous articles for Contract Management magazine. His latest book, Government Contract Law Basics, published by Management Concepts will be available this spring. He has spoken internationally on a vast variety of topics related to federal, commercial, and international procurement.

Mr. Reid holds a bachelors degree from Franklin and Marshall College, a Juris Doctorate from the University of Dayton School Of Law, and a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Houston. He has been a Certified Professional Contracts Manager since 1986. He is admitted to practice in Texas, before the Court of Federal Claims, and the US Supreme Court.
