Heralded as one of the nation’s premiere fashion and beauty journalists, Cheryl Ann Wadlington is a leading consultant in the field of personal growth. As an accomplished writer, popular television personality and sought-after motivational speaker, she has reached millions of people with her advice and perspective.

She is a co-author of the book, SoulStyle: Black Women Redefining the Color of Fashion. She has also served as a contributing writer to Essence, Savoy, Black Enterprise, Heart & Soul, BET Weekend, Black Elegance, Today’s Black Woman, London-based New Generation (NG), The Cleveland Plain Dealer, The Philadelphia Daily News, The Philadelphia Tribune and BET.com; served on the faculty of the Temple University School of Communications and Theater at Temple University, teaching fashion writing and as fashion & beauty editor for BridesNoir magazine.

Having a strong education in fashion communications and history, Wadlington developed an exceptional style of fashion reporting and now serves as a consultant throughout the East Coast. She continues to serve as a leading fashion correspondent and analyst for numerous television shows in the Philadelphia area, including WPVI-TV 6, an ABC affiliate; KYW-TV 3, a CBS affiliate; WCAU-TV 10, a NBC affiliate; WTFX-TV 29, a FOX affiliate; and CN8, a Comcast Network affiliate. In addition, she served both as an associate producer and announcer for Comcast Cable Corporation NewsChannel in West Chester, Pennsylvania.

Establishing Evoluer Image Consultants, LLC was a natural evolution for Cheryl, who from 1986 to 1995 owned and operated Life Modeling Workshop International. Her nurturing influence can seen through her formers students, which include, neo-soul recording artist Amel Larriex, international super model Debra Shaw and off-Broadway and Cosby Show actress Nicole Davenport.

In addition, she formerly served as a consultant for Ambi Products’, Black Opal Cosmetics, Luster products and as a spokesperson for The Procter & Gamble Company’s hair and skin care product line, Imina.

Under Cheryl’s creative direction, Evoluer strives to be the premiere accelerator for the upwardly mobile woman and teenage girl who want to maximize her personal or professional image and style. The agency has a cadre of nationally recognized style experts, whose beauty and fashion, make-up, and hair styling credits include Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, Tyra Banks and Jill Scott, The Swan, American Idol and Oprah, and a host of national magazines and commercial advertisements.

Over the years, Wadlington has also developed and operated Personal Development programs for disadvantaged youth in more than 20 recreation, housing authorities and community centers throughout the tri-state (Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey) area, and is now following up its highly successful and award-winning teen girl workshop, in conjunction with the Philadelphia Department of Recreation, which brought her teen-image expertise to a panel discussion on parenting that was broadcast on C-SPAN and advertised in the New York Times.

Wadlington is an accredited member of the fashion press corps for New York City’s annual “7th On Sixth” industry festivities, The Philadelphia Association of Black Journalists, and on the Advisory Board of Cheyney University’s Fashion Merchandising Program. She has received countless proclamations for her contributions to the fashion and beauty industries and youth development from the Governor of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the Mayor of Wilmington, Delaware, the Mayor of Hamilton, Bermuda and more. She has also received the Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Coalition 100 Black Women Madam C.J. Walker Award, as well as the Philadelphia Chapter of the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’s Clubs’ Professional Achievement Award.

Wadlington studied in Advertising and Communications at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York and Fashion Merchandising at Bauder Fashion College in Atlanta, Ga.
